CHARLOTTE, N.C- The New York Knicks (7-5) traveled to the Spectrum Center to take on the Charlotte Hornets (6-7) on Friday, November 12.

Miles Bridges led the Hornets with 24 points highlighted by a huge highlight reel windmill dunk. LaMelo Ball hauled in a career-high 17 rebounds and was one assist shy of a triple-double as the Hornets overcame a second-half deficit to defeat the Knicks 104-96.

Knicks Have a Tale of Two Halves

The Knicks led 34-18 after a terrific start to the game, but the Hornets would pick up the pace. The Knicks would lead by just nine points at the half.

Kemba Walker had 20 points in the first half. 17 of those points came in the first quarter, but Walker's scored just six points after halftime as the Knicks were outscored 58-42 in the second half.

The Knicks had a game-high 19 turnovers along with giving up 58 points in the paint; both were key factors in their second-half collapse.

Alec Burks was the Knicks' second-leading scorer off the bench with 15 points. Mitchell Robinson added 11 points.

Julius Randle struggled mightily, tallying 10 points on a lackluster 4 for 15 (26.67%) shooting day.

Miles Bridges Takes Off Lead's Hornets in Second Half Comeback

The Hornets started the game off slow, trailing by 16 at the end of the first quarter. However, they would rally back; led by Gordon Hayward's 13 points first-half points, the Hornets cut the lead to nine heading into halftime.

The Hornets fought all the way back and took control late in the fourth quarter on a huge windmill dunk by Miles Bridges and three big three-pointers by Kelly Oubre.

Miles Bridges exchanged high-flying windmill dunks with Obi Toppin on the back-to-back possessions. Later, the Hornets were able to seal the deal on a Miles Bridges and-one play.
