It's Saturday, you know what that means- AEW Full Gear. AEW again delivered with their fourth and final pay-per-view event of 2021. Full Gear came to us live from the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Full Gear was the culmination of the first phase of AEW.

"Hangman" Adam Page's chase for the AEW Championship has finally come to an end. In the main event of Full Gear, Page was able to beat his former tag partner Kenny Omega and win the championship.

Tony Khan's company presented yet another amazing card featuring the main event of "Hangman" Adam Page versus Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship. The main delivered, but so did the rest of the card. From top to bottom the card was amazing. AEW was even able to deliver a surprise signing as Jay Lethal is now #AllElite.

AEW has delivered with all of their PPV specials in 2021 and they may have saved the best for last.

MJF Versus Darby Allin

AEW could not have chosen a better start to Full Gear. Two of the four pillars of the company, MJF and Darby Allin, stepped in the ring to face one another.

It was a true big match feel to start the night. MJF left the Pinnacle in the locker room. Allin walked out with Sting, but Sting would not remain at the ringside area.

Allin also changed up his face paint for the big match. Instead of the normal skeleton-like paint, Allin's face paint resembled a White Walker from Game of Thrones.

These two young stars could not have been more evenly matched.

They traded moves and holds throughout the match. Almost looks synchronized at points. Both men tried to get quick pinfalls early and often, but this match was not going to end on a bogus roll-up.

The match received multiple standing ovations and it was well deserved.

Both men pulled out all the stops. MJF used a sharpshooter and a powerbomb- backbreaker hybrid. Allin broke out a top run stunner and his usual high-flying antics.

Near the end of the match, MJF grabbed Allin's skateboard from the ringside area. He begged Allin to use the board as a weapon. Allin refused and handed the board to the referee. While the ref was removing the board from the ring, MJF hit Allin with the Dynamite Diamond Ring. Allin was out could and MJF pinned him for the win.

MJF cheated to win, like many AEW fans probably expected. Even though MJF cheated it was a fantastic match to start a great night.

AEW Tag Team Championship Match: FTR Versus Lucha Bros ©

The second match of the evening pitted FTR against the Lucha Bros for the AEW Tag Team Championships. FTR beat the Lucha Bros just a few weeks ago for the AAA Tag Team Championships and would look to take the AEW belts on Saturday. FTR was looking to become the first 2-time AEW Tag Team Champions.

There was no love lost between these teams. They started brawling before the bell even rang.

Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero M dazzled with their high-flying offense. With is a staunch juxtaposition to FTR's old-school offense.

The crowd was firmly behind the Lucha Bros as they chanted loudly "Cero Miedo" throughout the match.

While Fenix was in mid-air, Cash Wheeler hit him in the head with one of the AAA Tag belts. Dax Harwood then hit Fenix with a Brain Buster, but Fenix kicked out after a 2-count.

Later, Dax would try to hit Three Amigos on Penta. After two suplexes, Penta would counter out and hit his version of Three Amigos. He would follow it up by tagging in Fenix who hit a Frog Splash. It was a very touching tribute to Eddie Guerrero on the sixteenth anniversary of his untimely passing.

That would not end the match, but a Fear Factor on Dax a few minutes later would. The Lucha Bros were able to stay resilient and walk away with a big victory over FTR.

Miro Versus Bryan Danielson

It was then time for the finals of the AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament. The winner would become the number one contender for the AEW World Championship.

At the start of the match Danielson looked to shake Miro's hand as a sign of respect, Miro wanted no part of it.

Miro used his size advantage to take control of the match. Danielson might have been more technically sound, but that could not make up for Miro's strength and size.

Miro would lock in his finishing submission Game Over, but Danielson was able to get to the ropes. Danielson would lock in a Lebell Lock, but Miro would power out.

Late in the match, Miro would ask Danielson to hit him with kicks. For every three kicks, Danielson delivered  Miro would deliver one. Miro's kicks would send Danielson to the mat, while Danielson's Kicks seemed to do little damage to Miro.

After trading blows, Danielson was able to hit a DDT from the top rope. He then locked in a chokehold and made Miro pass out.

Danielson was able to tough out a gritty win to become the number one contender for the AEW World Championship.

Falls Count Anywhere: Super Kliq Versus Christian Cage and Jurrasic Express

Adam Cole debuted at AEW's last PPV, ALL Out, by attacking Christian Cage and Jungle Boy. So it made sense that his AEW PPV debut came in a match against Cage, JB and Luchasaurus. Cole teamed up with his best friends, Matt and Nick Jackson; the Young Bucks.

This match was a car wreck.

These teams went at each other with a blistering tempo. Cole was bleeding within the first ten minutes and tables were broken all around the ring.

This match was not for the faint of heart. None of these men would leave the same.

Thumbtacks were put in mouths, chairs thrown at heads, Christian jumped off a tunnel and so much more carnage. It was truly hard to keep up with.

Luchasaurus would chokeslam Adam Cole and Nick Jackson off the stage and hit a shooting star press onto them. Then Jungle Boy would hit Matt Jackson with a conchairto to end the match. Christian wanted to deliver the final blow, but JB stepped in and did it.

This was another great match and was wildly entertaining.

Cody Rhodes/ Pac Versus Andrade El Idolo/ Malakai Black

It was then time for a tag team match between two nontag teams. Cody and Pac got off to a bad start as they argued over who should start the match. That same energy was shared between Andrade and Black.

Early on it seemed the team of Black and Andrade functioned much better. After they picked on Pac for a bit, Cody tagged himself in and went on a bit of a run. That was before Pac tagged himself back in and Cody was hit by a kick out of nowhere from Black. The kick knocked Cody out of action for most of the match and put Pac in a 2 on 1 situation.

Pac was able to weather the storm and let Cody get back in action. After more back and forth action, Pac would hit a Red Arrow on Andrade for the win.

It was another very good match, not as good as the first four matches but still very good.

AEW Women's Championship: Dr. Britt Baker, DMD (C) Versus Tay Conti

Tay Conti made her AEW debut a little more than a year ago. On Saturday she had the biggest match of her career as she challenged Dr. Britt Baker, DMD for the AEW Women's Championship.

Tay painted her a stripe over her eyes with the colors of her home nation, Brazil. Tay looked strong and was on offense for much of the match. She was able to hit her Tay-KO, but Baker was able to kick out at a two count.

The momentum swung when Baker hit a nasty Air Raid Crash on the ring apron. Then Baker hit a Curb Stomp on the steel steps. That was followed by another Curb Stomp in the ring. It looked to be all but over as Baker went to lock in the Lock Jaw, but Tay was able to roll to the ropes to break the hold.

It would not be Tay's night though, Baker would retain her championship by winning with a roll-up.

Eddie Kingston Versus CM Punk

This resembled a fistfight, not a wrestling match.

Both men had stoic faces as they made their way to the ring. Before the bell could even ring, Kingston hit Punk with a Spinning Back Fist. If the bell had rung Kingston could have pinned Punk and won, but the bell had not rung.

After the bell did ring these men went after one another. Eddie threw Punk into the ring post and it busted Punk up. Punk had a crimson mask for the rest of the match.

Both men wanted to punish and hurt their opponents.

Punk would have to hit two consecutive Go To Sleeps to put Kingston away. It was a short, brutal match.

After the match, Punk tried to shake Kingston's hand, but Kingston refused.

Minneapolis Street Fight

American Top Team then took on the Inner Circle in a street fight.

The match started as a traditional 5 on 5 tag match, but it would all break loose after Chris Jericho and Dan Lambert spilled to the outside.

This match got wild. These teams used whatever they could find as a weapon. They used things like a football, hockey sticks, a water ski, and even a toaster as weapons.

Sammy Guevara did his best Jeff Hardy impression as he jumped off a high ladder onto Scorpio Sky, who was laying on a table below.

Jericho and Lambert would end the match in the ring. Jericho would honor his late friend Eddie Guerrero by hitting Three Amigos and a Frog Splash to get the win.

It was a great ending to a very fun street fight.

AEW World Championship: Kenny Omega © Versus "Hangman" Adam Page

Then it was finally time for what everyone was waiting for; the main event. Was it finally time for AEW's resident cowboy to win the big one? Yes, yes it was.

Both men received epic entrances and this had a true big match feel.

Both men went at each other with all they had. These rivals both wanted nothing more than to win on Saturday night.

Hangman had to deal with Don Callis at ringside, who constantly cheated to help Omega.

These men put on a pro wrestling clinic. They had the crowd both in person and at home on the edge of their seats.

Both men were able to get in their big moves. Hagman hit his forearms and Omega hit his V-Triggers. It was truly an even back and forth matchup and it was truly a toss-up as to who was going to walk away with the win.

Late in the match, Hangman went for the Buckshot Lariat but Omega pulled the ref in front of him. The Lariat took the ref out and opened up a chance for Omega to cheat.

Omega tried to hit Hangman with the belt, but Hangman ducked and hit the Deadeye. By the time another ref could get to the ring Omega was able to kick out at 2.

Omega would recover and go for a One-Winged Angel, but Hangman would counter and hit Omega with his own move. Omega would kick out, but Hangman would hit 2 Buckshot Lariats to score the pin and win the AEW Championship.

Full Gear went off the air with the Dark Order holding the new AEW World Champion on their shoulders.
