QUARTERBACKS

Matt Ryan, Atlanta at Dolphins: Remember the Falcons were on a bye last week, so the Matt Ryan fantasy manager may have dropped him. I love the matchup for Ryan against a reeling Dolphins defense.

Justin Fields, Chicago at Buccaneers: The Bears will not be able to run the ball against the Buccaneers' front four. Perhaps like others before them, they don't even try. Justin Fields in a chasing mode with the possibility of 40+ passes remains tantalizing.

Tua Tagovailoa, Miami vs. Falcons: Depending on your league, Tagovailoa may remain a free agent. I believe Tua showed enough to be a viable streaming option.

Jimmy Garoppolo, San Francisco vs. Colts: Jimmy Garoppolo appears to be fully healthy, and his QB counterpart Trey Lance appears to be injured. Jimmy G gets his job back in the short term.

Ryan Fitzpatrick, Washington at Packers: Speaking of getting your job back, Ryan Fitzpatrick may very well get his back. Taylor Heinicke has been inconsistent, and the Franchise Team could turn back to ignite a little 'Fitz-magic'.

Tyrod Taylor, Houston at Arizona: I'm not sure if the Texans would turn the quarterback position back over to Taylor or give a longer look to Davis Mills. Tyrod would be worth a speculative add to those in Super-Flex leagues.

Cam Newton, UFA: Cam Newton is not currently on a roster, so this is a bit of a stretch. Cam recently revealed that he is vaccinated and that he is ready to play. Teams around the league who are desperate under center may give Newton a call soon.

RUNNING BACKS:

D'Ernest Johnson, Cleveland vs. Broncos: Kareem Hunt is out for several weeks, and Nick Chubb has already been ruled out for week seven. The once-dominant Browns rushing attack now appears to be a shell of its former self. D'Ernest Johnson inherits the lead-back role and should receive upwards of 20 touches against Denver.

Demetric Felton, Cleveland vs. Broncos: D'Ernest Johnson will be the most popular waiver-wire add this week, and you will have to pay up to get him. If you are working with a budget or looking for a more under-the-radar flyer take a look at Demetric Felton. Felton is a dynamic playmaker with the ball in his hands--you may be able to catch lightning in a bottle.

Jaret Patterson, Washington at Packers: Antonio Gibson hasn't been right all season long and recently underwent an MRI on his leg. A prudent fantasy player would be proactive and grab Jaret Patterson in case there's more than meets the eye here.

Rhamondre Stevenson, New England vs. Jets: We have been looking for someone to step up into the James White, and Rhamondre Stevenson, not our first candidate, maybe the one taking on the role. The Pats are going to be a run-based offense, so Stevenson has value even in a committee.

Michael Carter, New York Jets at Patriots: The lead back for the Jets isn't a thrilling role, but beggars cannot be choosers when it comes to the fantasy running back position. If Carter is available, he is worth an add to your bench to see if something materializes.

Devonta Freeman, Baltimore vs. Bengals: We know that the Baltimore Ravens are one of the run-heaviest teams in the league. The problem is we are not sure week to week who will be doing the running. Freeman looked spry a week ago and is worth a look.

Kenyan Drake, Las Vegas vs. Eagles: Kenyan Drake looked great in limited work a week ago. Josh Jacobs has never been a pillar of health. With the adjustment at head coach, adding Drake makes sense.

Kenneth Gainwell, Philadelphia at Raiders: The Eagles have not shown that they have any clue how to use their running backs. Kenneth Gainwell needs to be used in the offense more often.

Rashaad Penny, Seattle vs. Saints: If Alex Collins is unable to go Monday night, the Seahawks could turn to a familiar name in fantasy football circles: Rashaad Penny. Penny is expected to be active for the first time in a long time--stranger things have happened.

Travis Homer, Seattle vs. Saints: Travis Homer has taken over the pass-catching role out of the backfield for the Seahawks. If they go to a committee approach on Monday night, Travis Homer may be the back you want in PPR leagues.

WIDE RECEIVERS:

Jerry Jeudy, Denver at Browns: Jerry Jeudy should not be on any waiver wires around the league. Take a peek just in case. If you're in a league without an IR spot--perhaps a fantasy manager got impatient and dropped Jeudy.

Rashod Bateman, Baltimore vs. Bengals: Rashod Bateman came back from injury and was immediately elevated into the starting lineup. Bateman is a talent, and as the Ravens offense evolves to a more pass-happy approach, players like Rashod Bateman should benefit.

T.Y. Hilton, Indianapolis at 49ers: T.Y. Hilton made a surprise return last week to complete his annual torture of the Houston Texans. With Parris Campbell out in this one, Hilton could return for a big week in back-to-back weeks.

Sterling Shepard, New York Giants vs. Panthers: Daniel Jones loves him some Sterling Shepard. The Jones to Shepard connection dates back to last season. With Kadarius Toney ruled out for week seven, I would look for even more Sterling Shepard.

Marquez Callaway, New Orleans at Seahawks: Michael Thomas is eligible to return this week but won't be ready for a few weeks. Marquez Callaway may have been dropped during the Saints bye week. With Callaway still operating as the leading receiver for the team, he is worth a pick-up.

Donovan Peoples-Jones, Cleveland vs. Broncos: Jarvis Landry remains out for the Browns and Odell Beckham Jr. did not practice on Tuesday. It is possible that come Thursday night Donovan Peoples-Jones is the #1 pass-catching option on the field for the Cleveland Browns.
