The heavyweight champ says he'll 'retire' his half-brother and make him change his name if he can't beat the YouTuber turned pugilist.

With great power comes great responsibility. And it sounds like Tommy Fury better exercise that responsibility against Jake Paul, or Tyson Fury is gonna go in and revoke his privileges.

Paul has made himself one of the most unlikely draws in the boxing world at the moment, with a career thus far built on celebrity gimmick fights and matches against two former MMA champions. A fight against Tommy Fury would, by all reasonable standards, represent the first time Paul will have faced someone with meaningful boxing experience in his career. That is, if they can get the bout negotiated.

So far, the younger Fury has turned down offers of a $1 million fight purse from Paul, holding out to get a better chunk of the likely large PPV pie. After a recent interview with Boxing Social, however, it seems like Tyson Fury is adding a little extra pressure on his sibling to prove his mettle in the ring.

"I think the fight needs to happen, him and Jake Paul," Fury explained. "Tommy and Jake will get the fight done. And if Tommy can't splatter Jake Paul, I'll retire him from boxing meself. He doesn't need to be a boxer. If he can't beat Jake Paul, forget about boxing. Because he's got ambitions of being a world champion, never mind beating some YouTube guy.

"But it's a great fight for the social media world and it's a great fight for all the kids and all the young girls out there who support them both. And it's a great fight for to watch. It's a spectacle. But, if Tommy's got any ambitions on being a world champion? His name's Fury. If he can't beat Jake Paul, I'll have to change his name. How about that?"

Tyson Fury faces Deontay Wilder for the third time this Saturday, October 9th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV. The heavyweight title fight will take place on ESPN PPV and Fox Sports PPV. Fury and Wilder first fought to a draw back in December of 2018, and met again in February of last year, with Fury defeating Wilder via 7th round TKO.
