A long rumored crossover between "Riverdale" and "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" is finally happening with Kiernan Shipka set to appear in season 6…

Sabrina Spellman is coming to "Riverdale."

The long rumored crossover between "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" and "Riverdale" is finally happening after Kiernan Shipka was confirmed for an appearance on the CW series during the upcoming sixth season.

"Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" just recently ended its run on Netflix after two seasons and series creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa had previously planned on a bigger crossover had the show been renewed for a third season.

Now he'll get the chance with Shipka set to appear in at least one episode during "Riverdale" season 6.

"We've been talking about having Sabrina visit Riverdale since season 1, so it's thrilling that this is finally happening, as part of our 'Rivervale' special event," Aguirre-Sacasa said in a statement.

"It's also perfect that she shows up to help Cheryl Blossom during her hour of greatest need. Everyone on set lost their minds — I think fans will, too. It's really fun and special."

Shipka's appearance will happening during the fourth episode of "Riverdale" season 6 titled "The Witching Hour[s0" and she's expected to team up with Madelaine Petsch's character Cheryl Blossom as she attempts to cast a dangerous spell after learning that one of her ancestors was accused of witchcraft and burned at the stake in the "Riverdale" season 5 finale.

Shipka posted a photo on set from her appearance on "Riverdale," which immediately exploded after fans had been calling for a crossover ever since "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" first started.

The two shows, despite airing on separate networks, had already been established as existing in the same universe with the town of Greendale where "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" took place being mentioned quite often in "Riverdale." There was previously minor mentions of characters from "Sabrina" traveling to Riverdale to get milkshakes at Pop's Chock-lit Shoppe as well as one minor crossover from a character named Billy Martin, who appeared on both series.

It's unknown if Shipka will just stick to the single appearance in "Riverdale" season 6 or if the door is open to a bigger crossover down the road.

For now, stay tuned for Sabrina Spellman to cast her spell over "Riverdale" when season 6 debuts in November.
