Preview Of Friday Night Smackdown

The season premiere of Friday Night SmackDown went live from the SAP Center in San Jose CA.

The Smackdown Women's Champion "The Man" Becky Lynch "The Boss" Sasha Banks and the "EST" Bianca Belair. Made their championship match official for WWE Crown Jewel tonight.

Also, WWE has its first-ever Queens Crown tournament as Liv Morgan takes on Carmela in the first round of the tournament.

Along with the Queens Crown tournament, the King of The Ring tournament also went underway as Sami Zayn took on Rey Mysterio in the first round of the tournament.

Smackdown had an action-packed night as the season premiere of SmackDown kicked off tonight.

SmackDown Women's Championship Contract Signing

All three competitors stood their ground with each other as Bianca Belair was in the ring. Becky Lynch had her own table on the ramp. Sasha Banks stood over the announcer table.

Sonya Deville and Adam Pearce tried their best to keep everything under control in the ring but were unable as matters escalated with the three competitors they ended up in a brawl. Belair would eventually put both Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks through a table and be the last woman standing.

King Of the Ring Quarterfinal

Sami Zayn Vs Rey Mysterio

Dominik Mysterio was told by his father Rey that he will have to stay in the back, for his match against Sami Zayn. Zayn approached Dominik before the match and told him how much better he was than his father Rey.

As Zayn continued his vicious beatdown on Mysterio during the match. Dominik would make his way to the ring. Rey connected with a sunset flip powerbomb to get himself back in the match. Rey would end up trying to execute a 619 on Zayn however Zayn moved out of the way and connected with a Blue Thunder Bomb.

Zayn pulled down the turnbuckle which would allow Rey to get distracted. Zayn pushed Rey into Dominik which would lead him to roll up Mysterio for the cover to get the win. As Sami Zayn advanced to the semifinals of the King of The Ring tournament.

Queens Crown Quarterfinal

Toni Storm Vs Zelina Vega

Both Vega and Storm vowed to be the first to win the annual Queens Crown tournament.

The match between Strom and Vega did not last long. Storm tried to execute a backslide in which she tried to alter into a Gory bomb. Vega would counter and hit a Code Red on Storm to come away with the victory over Storm. As Zelina Vega advanced to the semifinals of the Queens Crown tournament.

The Tribal Chief Addresses Brock Lesnar

Roman Reigns walked out to a massive ovation from the WWE universe. Reigns started off by commending Paul Heyman for getting the Usos back on SmackDown. However, Reigns wanted Heyman to speak the truth, on how Heyman twisted the story to say that he believed in Reigns and was confident and said he would defeat Lesnar at Crown Jewel.

Reigns wanted Heyman to look in the camera and tell Lesnar that he will not beat The Tribal Chief. Heyman followed Reigns' orders and did just that.

Liv Morgan Vs Carmella

Before the match began Carmella put on her face mask to protect her "moneymaker". As the bell sounded Morgan began to assault her. Carmela would end up catching Morgan in the Code of Silence in which Carmella nearly made Morgan tap out.

Morgan would connect with a single-knee facebuster which almost led her to win the match. Carmela ended the match with a low superkick and won the match by pinfall over Liv Morgan. Carmella advanced to the semifinals of the Queens Crown tournament.

King Of the Ring Quarterfinal

Cesaro Vs Finn Balor

Balor came out firing on all cylinders. Cesaro connected with a pop-up uppercut on Balor which sent him tumbling outside of the ring.

The prince attempted the double foot stomp from the top rope, but Cesaro met him there. He superplexed The Prince into a cross face after lifting him high. Balor fought back and sent him shoulder-first into the post and would eventually end up connecting with a Coup De Grace on Cesaro for the win. As Finn Balor advanced to the semifinals of the King of The Ring tournament.  

Edge Challenges Rollins to Hell in A Cell Match

Seth Rollins made his way to the ring to address and Edge and see if he would come out and respond to his challenge. He demanded an answer to his challenge to Edge. Rollins made it clear to Soniya Deville and Adam Pearce that he would create problems for SmackDown if Edge did not respond to his challenge. 

Edge would arrive at the ring and get into with Rollins as he hit him with several spears. Then ended up taking a steel chair leg to choke out Rollins.

The Drip God retreated from the ring. Edge would grab the microphone and name the stipulation for their match which was a Hell In A Cell match.
