TSC News host Fred Richani reacts to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com reporting WWE released over a dozen NXT wrestlers DURING a live broadcast of Friday Night SmackDown.

Wrestlers released on Aug. 6, 2021 per Sean Ross Sapp:

  • Former WWE NXT Tag Team Champion Bobby Fish
  • Former WWE NXT North American Champion Bronson Reed who was main roster bound
  • Jake Atlas
  • Ari Sterling
  • Kona Reeves
  • Former WWE NXT North American Champion Leon Ruff
  • Stephon Smith
  • Tyler Rust of The Diamond Mine stable
  • Zechariah Smith
  • Asher Hale
  • Giant Zanjeer
  • Decorated veteran wrestler Mercedes Martinez
  • Desmond Troy

This comes off the heels of the recent major releases of Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, and Ric Flair, as well as the rumored departure of Adam Cole.

It sure seems like Vince McMahon has more faith in Nick Khan than his son-in-law Paul "Triple H" Levesque these days as WWE may be preparing for a sale worth BILLIONS. Best wishes to all the wrestlers affected.
