The first "Spider-Man: No Way Home" trailer has arrived as Peter Parker turns to Doctor Strange for help and he runs into some familiar faces from the past…

A leaked trailer online has now led to the real "Spider-Man: No Way Home" trailer being released.

Late Monday, Sony and Marvel dropped the first look at the highly anticipated third film in the "Spider-Man" series starring Tom Holland with the movie hitting theaters on December 17.

In the wake of the events of "Spider-Man: Far From Home" where Mysterio revealed the webslinger's true identity, Peter Parker is now left to deal with the fallout. Many consider him a savor, others believe he's public enemy No. 1 but all Peter wants is for things to go back to normal.

So he turns to his new friend Doctor Strange for help.

The trailer reveals that Peter asks Doctor Strange to cast a spell that will erase his true identity from anyone who knows he's Spider-Man but it doesn't take him long to figure out the ramifications of that request. Everyone forgetting he's Spider-Man means his Aunt May no longer knows his secret and the same can be said for his girlfriend M.J., who he's gotten much closer with in the weeks and months since his identity was revealed.

The results of Doctor Strange casting his spell appears to be a rift in the multiverse, which is what leads to some interesting interactions including a pumpkin bomb that appears to be delivered by the Green Goblin as well as the big reveal at the end — as Doctor Octopus makes his return.

Now Alfred Molina returning as Doctor Octopus after last appearing in "Spider-Man 2" back in 2004 has long been confirmed, which is why he's probably the only confirmed character shown in the trailer from past films. Needless to say, there are going to be more familiar faces returning from the multiverse including Jamie Foxx reappearing as Electro.

For now, check out the new trailer for "Spider-Man: No Way Home" and get excited for the release date on Dec. 17 in theaters everywhere.
