[New post] SMASH! White Explains Logan Paul UFC 264 Tix Upgrade
PunchDrunkGamer posted: "Photo by Stacy Revere/Getty ImagesStories of Dana White reaching out to Logan to upgrade his tickets now make a lot more sense. Dana White hasn't been a fan of the Paul brothers since they popped up on the boxing scene. He's not flat-out hazin"
We're sure he wasn't impressed when Logan Paul swooped in and signed a contract to fight an exhibition against Floyd Mayweather, considering White has been trying to do business with Mayweather again since their big money McGregor fight in 2017.
That didn't stop White from allegedly saving Logan Paul from a real UFC "Fan Experience" when the YouTube star bought tickets among the general population for UFC 264. News came out that White had put Logan in "Billionaires Row" alongside all the super VIPs and major celebrities. A nice act on its face, but even more so when you realize the real reason why White did it.
"He bought a bunch of tickets to the fight and the tickets he bought were not tickets he'd want to sit in," White said during an interview with the Nelk Boys. "He was going to get smashed. So I put him over in another section.
"That was the only time we ever talked, was about the tickets," White continued.
White also gave the Nelk Boys his thoughts on the Logan Paul vs. Floyd Mayweather fight — not the business, which was very good, but Mayweather's performance, which didn't exactly do Floyd's legacy much good.
"Have you ever met Floyd Mayweather in person? He's f—king tiny, man," White said. "He's tiny, and Logan's f—king big, too. But, I thought he did a good job tying Floyd up, not letting Floyd get off when he was. And Floyd looked old that night, too. And I think Floyd knew he looked old that night."
He also once again said he had no interest in getting into the Paul business, not even if Jake Paul turned out to be a legit boxer.
"I just don't see it happening," he said. Look I don't hate the kid. Is he f—king annoying? Yes. He's out there trying to make that money. And his shelf life is very f—king short so ... get that money. I imagine inside the gym, he's trained with plenty of boxers. So there's a reason he's not fighting boxers. He wants to keep fighting these ... retired UFC wrestler guys. Listen, I never say never but I f—king doubt it."
