Remember in the early 2010s when the NFC East will full of talent. The Eagles had a sick defense with Asante Samuel, Trent Cole and Co. with Michael Vick, Lesean Mccoy and Desean Jackson in their prime, the Redskins (aka Football Team) were tough to play against, the Giants were the Super Bowl Champs lead by Eli Manning and the Cowboys had all their stars like Romo and Witten, Dez Bryant and Demarco Murray. The division was stacked and the toughest in professional football. Fast forward to 2021 and the NFC East has become as big of a joke as the AFC South. This year isn't as bad as the last two years because the Giants are improving, the Eagles look much better like they've revamped their roster with a new coaching staff and add a more motivated, healthy Dak Prescott. It's a recipe for some great matchups.

#1 Dallas Cowboys

2020 record: 6-10

2021 Prediction: 11-6

Dak looks sharp in practice.

The Dallas Cowboys had the MVP on their roster last year, unfortunately he got injured in week 6. Dak Prescott suffered an awful injury in game five of the 2020 campaign. Dak also signed an extension this past offseason worth $240M over six years with $120M guaranteed making him the fourth richest athlete in 2021 according to Forbes, The issue with the Cowboys was their defense, the offense is stacked with a great Offensive Line and one of the best list of weapons in the league in Dak, Gallup, Cooper, Zeke and Ceedee ! How can this roster not do well. The main issue, as mentioned before, is the defense. Jaylon Smith needs to have big year, he has been hit or miss and maybe that's why the Cowboys drafted Micah Parsons, LB out of Penn State in the first round. Trevon Diggs and Demarcus Laurence offer comfort at the CB and the Edge positions respectively. Dak was on pace for over seven thousand yards passing before snapping his ankle. It won't be easy with a semi-tough schedule for the Boys. Facing the NFC South and the AFC West presents some challenges vs the Chargers high powered offense, the defending Super Bowl Champs in week 1 vs the Bucs and Kansas CIty Chiefs, but the optimism comes from their matchups within the division. Don't be shocked if the Cowboys go 5-1 in the NFC East.

#2 Philadelphia Eagles

2020 record: 4-11-1

2021 Prediction: 9-8

No Wentz No Problem. The Philadelphia Eagles really believe they are contenders with Jalen Hurts as the signal caller. First year Head Coach Nick Sarianni didn't impress anyone in his first press conference as the Signal caller in the city of brotherly love. Sarianni is coming from Indianapolis where he was the Offensive Coordinator. He brings a fun offense to Philly, one that will keep first round pick Devonta Smith and second year QB Jalen Hurts itching for more. We can't deny that the Eagles always possess a threat. Tough team, tough fanbase makes their home games a nightmare for teams coming in thinking they'll walk through them. The Eagles are young with only four players on their roster with over ten years of experience in the NFL, one of which is backup QB Joe Flacco. Opening the first four games vs the Falcons, Niners, Cowboys and Chiefs it's hard to see them take two games there. The key to the Eagles is to not drop points within the conference. The Eagles will be a wildcard team so teams like the Rams, Niners and Bears will all be in the same spot as them.

#3 New york giants

2020 record: 6-10

2021 Prediction: 6-11

Who would've thought that we would be talking about the boring, khaki wearing, no computer having Giants assembled by the mental fossil that is New York Football Giants GM Dave Gettleman. This is a good thing and this pushed their ranking up a bit. The Giants don't have the best roster on tape but they do have a young eager roster which can lead to success. Unfortunately, it won't be this year. Saquon Barkley needs to complete a season in order for them to sniff more wins then what they had last season (6). They can't expect to compete in the NFL with Kenny Golladay and Sterling Shepard as their go to. They did draft Kadarius Toney out Florida for his speed giving Daniel Jones a new fun weapon.

#4 wASHINGTON FOOTBALL TEAM

2020 record: 7-9

2021 Prediction: 4-13

Ron Rivera's boys are back and they look exactly the same. The Football team finally got rid of failed first round pick Dwayne Haskins and brought in an ultimate beauty in Ryan Fitzpatrick to fight with Ryan Fitzpatrick Lite in Taylor Heinicke. There's one bright spot in Washington; third round pick DB Benjamin St-Juste from Montreal Quebec has impressed a lot of people. St-Juste is a long and aggressive player that any team would be lucky to have. Washington will be the team that you can't prepare for and can't take for granted. Just the toughness of the two Quarterbacks speaks volumes about the team's mentality. That mentality built by Ron Rivera who's fresh off win vs cancer. Expect Terry Mclaurin to have a monster year off broken plays and the gun slingers they have under Centre. Although a tough team to play, they'll be very beatable.

Look at it this way, can you see Washington winning games from the AFC West with the Chargers, Raiders, Chiefs or Broncos? or the NFC South vs the Panthers, Saints, Bucs or Falcons? Best case scenario they win two games in their division, which is very likely, and they win two maybe three games outside the NFC East. That's five wins for the Football Team.
