UFC title challenger Jorge Masvidal shares his prediction for the Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley Showtime boxing match.

FinalizeJorge Masvidal has seen both Tyron Woodley and Jake Paul in the training room, and he's siding with the former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight champion ahead of the Paul vs. Woodley boxing match.

Paul vs. Woodley will headline a Showtime boxing pay-per-view (PPV) on Sun., Aug. 29, taking place at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Paul's hometown of Cleveland, OH. Masvidal has seen both Paul (3-0, boxing) and Woodley (19-7-1, MMA) put in work and he has to side with the latter.

"So it's not to diss Jake, but you've been watching MMA for a minute," told Ariel Helwani on Wednesday's episode of The MMA Hour (h/t MMA Fighting). "Woodley can throw them hands. Ben Askren never could. So it's like you've got a guy that can fight if it's slinging fists. Woodley could have made his money grappling, which he did. He was good enough of an athlete, and he was good enough of an athlete to make his money with his hands to knock people the f—k out.

"So I don't think – I know Jake's never been in there with a guy like that, that's explosive, is a good athlete, and has a ton of experience over him. So if Jake wins, f*cking wild, my hat's off to him, I was wrong, I don't know sh*t about fighting. But, chances are, Woodley's going to knock him the f—k out."

Masvidal (35-15) has not competed in professional mixed martial arts (MMA) since failing to capture the UFC Welterweight title from reigning champion Kamaru Usman at UFC 261 in April.
