"Manifest" will return for a supersized fourth and final season after Netflix saved the series that was cancelled by NBC just a matter of weeks ago…

"Manifest" will return after all.

Following the show's cancellation by NBC and a huge outpouring of fan support via a viral #SaveManifest campaign on social media, Netflix has officially renewed "Manifest" for a fourth and final season.

The final season will run for 20 episodes, which will get broken into parts by Netflix much as they have done for other series in the past. The renewal will force some last minute negotiation with the actors after the entire cast was released from their contracts just as the show was cancelled at the conclusion of season 3.

According to multiple reports, series leads Josh Dallas and Melissa Roxburgh have already agreed to new deals with J.R. Ramirez also coming to terms on a new contract. Other cast members such as Parveen Kaur, Luna Blaise, Matt Long and Jack Messina remain in talks to return for the fourth and final season of "Manifest."

Series creator Jeff Rake had been pushing for a chance to finish the show after he initially planned on a six-season run for "Manifest" but he comment on social media that "we'll make it work in 20 [episodes]."

It's almost unprecedented for a series like this to go all the way through cancellation and then get rescued but "Manifest" appeared to be the perfect storm after the show found a massive new audience when the first two seasons appeared on Netflix. "Manifest" has remained one of the top streaming series on Netflix for several weeks, which obviously played a huge part in the renewal.

Details on the fourth and final season will come together once the cast deals are closed but now "Manifest" will have a chance to come to a conclusion, especially after a shocking cliffhanger finished season 3.
