John Carpenter has debuted the first track from the upcoming "Halloween Kills" soundtrack that will accompany the new movie due out on October 15…

With "Halloween Kills" set for release on October 15, horror master John Carpenter has debuted the first track from his upcoming soundtrack for the sequel that continues the story from the film release in 2018.

Much like the last film directed by David Gordon-Green, Carpenter created the score for the film alongside his son Cody Carpenter and there is a classic and ominous tone to this first track called "Unkillable."

The Carpenters co-wrote this particular track with Daniel Davies. Here's more details on the upcoming soundtrack, which is already available for pre-order on vinyl:

"Like the film itself, Carpenter's score to the second installment of the new Halloween trilogy, Halloween Kills, stays true to the spirit of what made the 1978 original great while bringing it firmly into the present. The music is unmistakably Carpenter: the sinister vintage synth tones, the breath-stealing sense of menace that he conjures with just a few dissonant notes.

"But with a broader sonic palette, new digital techniques at his disposal, and a deeper sense of musicality, the Halloween Kills score is the work of a master artist who nearly 50 years into his career continues to push his creative limits and find new ways to thrill and terrify his fans."

"Halloween Kills" will pick up just moments after 2018's "Halloween" ended as Laurie Strode attempted to end her 40 year long nightmare after trapping Michael Myers in her basement and setting the entire house on fire.

As the first trailer previously revealed, however, a team of firefighters rushed to put out the blaze, which obviously allowed the serial killer to survive.
