Easy 2-0 sweep for me last night to win 1.5 units on the NHL. Today we have a solid eleven game staggered Saturday slate. Let's keep this winning streak rolling!

Islanders vs. Jets (1:00)
Pretty interesting cross conference game to get the day started. The Islanders are now five points back from the Red Wings for the second Wild Card spot in the East, and come into today's game on a six game losing streak after a critical 6-3 loss in Detroit on Thursday night. The Jets have been very good this season, two points back from the Avs and Stars for the Central Division lead. Winnipeg won the first game between these teams 4-2 at home in January. I like them to win again here and I'll take them for half a unit on the road. I'd slightly lean the under, but not enough to bet it.
Flyers vs. Bruins (1:00)
This is a decent Eastern Conference matinee between these two playoff teams. The Bruins are 2-0 in the season series between these teams, winning 6-2 on the road in January and 6-5 at home a week ago. Boston leads the Atlantic Division, although I do think the Panthers are better than them and end up winning the division. They're coming off a 5-2 loss at home to the Rangers that ended their three game win streak on Thursday. The Flyers still hold their third place spot in the Metro, but have just one win in their last four games, coming off a 3-2 overtime loss to the Canes on Thursday night. I like the B's to complete the season sweep here today and I'll take them for half a unit. I like the over too at 5.5, which I'll take for half a unit as well.
Wild vs. Blues (2:00)
Although both of these Central Division teams will more than likely miss the playoffs, this should be a really fun game. This is the fourth and final game this season between these teams. The Wild are 1-1-1 in those previous matchups, winning 3-1 at home in November, losing 3-1 early in March in St. Louis, and losing 3-2 in a shootout on the road last Saturday. These teams are both playing well lately. The Wild are coming off a 6-0 blowout loss in LA on Wednesday night in the second half of a back to back, ended their eight game point streak. They're now 6-2-1 in their last nine games. The Blues, coming off their 5-2 win in Ottawa on Thursday (easy cash on them as a dog there) have five wins in their last six games. I'd slightly lean the Wild win this one at home and I think this ends up being a solid competitive game. I like the under here, which I'll take at 6 for half a unit.
Predators vs. Red Wings (5:00)
I'm expecting this to be a really fun cross conference game between these two Wild Card teams. The first game between these teams back in December was a fun one, needing overtime in Detroit for the Red Wings to win 5-4. The Predators are the hottest team in the NHL right now, coming into tonight's game in the first Wild Card in the West. They're on an incredible 16 game point streak with just two losses in that span and are coming off a really impressive 3-0 win in Florida on Thursday. The Red Wings are a point ahead of the Capitals for the second Wild Card in the East and after quite the slump, have now won three of their last four games and got their captain and leading scorer in Dylan Larkin back, coming off a crucial 6-3 win against the Isles on Thursday. I like Smashville to keep their win streak going, and I'll take them for half a unit at home. I also like the over in this one, and I'll take the alternate over 6 for half a unit too.
Maple Leafs vs. Oilers (7:00)
This is a great cross conference Canadian matchup that would be every fan up North's wet dream for the Cup Finals (never gonna happen). The Leafs are comfortably in third place in the Atlantic, and have played well recently. Coming off a 7-3 win in Washington on Wednesday to bounce back from two losses in a row, they have a 13-4-1 record in their last 18 games. The Oilers, coming off a 8-3 win against my Sabres on Thursday where they exploded in the third period, are on a six game point streak with a 9-1-2 record in their last twelve games. Edmonton won the first game between these teams 4-2 at home in January. I'd lean they win again, but not enough to bet them. I do like the over though, which I'll take for half a unit, expecting both teams to score.
Devils vs. Senators (7:00)
This is a pretty lousy matchup in the East. The Devils, coming off a 4-1 win at home to the Jets on Thursday have won their last two games but are still in the midst of a miserable season. Their offense has been good, but the defense has been a complete liability. The Sens are setup in a similar fashion and having an even worse season, at the bottom of the Atlantic Division. They come into tonight on a three game losing streak. The Devils put on a clinic in the first game between these teams in Ottawa back in December, winning 6-2 on the road. I'd lean they win again, and lean the over, but the play that I like in this game is the Devils team total over 3.5, so I don't have to worry about the awful defense. I'll take it for half a unit.
Rangers vs. Panthers (8:00)
Fantastic matchup here between two great teams in the East. The Rangers, coming off a big 5-2 win in Boston on Thursday have played great lately, with a 17-4-1 record in their last 22 games as they lead the Metro Division. I think the Panthers are the best team in the Eastern Conference, but they're in a little bit of a slump right now. Coming off a 3-0 shutout loss at home to the Preds on Thursday, they're on a three game losing streak, comfortably in second place in the Atlantic. Florida won both previous games between these teams, winning 4-3 at home in December and then 4-2 on the road at the beginning of March. I'd lean the Panthers bounce back and complete the season sweep but not enough to bet it in what's pretty much a coin toss to me. I'd also slightly lean the under, but at 5.5, I don't think that's worth the bet either, especially with the Rangers trending over lately. I'll lay off this matchup, but it's easily the best game on the slate today.
Canucks vs. Flames (10:00)
This is kind of an interesting Pacific Division game despite these teams being separated by 25 points in the standings. These teams split their first two games in Calgary, with the Flames winning 5-2 at home in November and the Canucks answering back with a 4-3 win on the road in December. The Canucks, despite not having their star goaltender Thatcher Demko, have played well lately, with a 6-1-1 record in their last eight game as they lead the Western Conference. The Flames have been okay, but not a great team. I'd lean the Canucks win this one at home and would slightly lean the under, but not enough to bet either, especially with the moneyline on Vancouver all the way up to -185. I'll lay off this game entirely.
Golden Knights vs. Blue Jackets (10:30)
This is such a shitty cross conference matchup in Vegas. The Golden Knights are coming off a big 3-1 late win at home against the Kraken on Thursday night, and they have four wins in their last six games as they come into tonight in the second Wild Card. The Blue Jackets are in the second half of a back to back tonight, coming off a 6-1 shit kicking (nice winner for me) last night in Colorado. They're brutal, one of the worst teams in the East, and have just one win in their last seven games. Columbus actually won the first game between these teams 6-3 at home earlier this month, which makes me like Vegas even more in this one. The Knights should win this game easily, which the books agree on since the line here is -350. Even the regulation line is too expensive, so I'll take the Vegas puck line for a unit. I'd lean the under, but not enough to bet it.
Kings vs. Lightning (10:30)
Great cross conference matchup here tonight. The first game between these teams in Tampa back in January was close, with the Lightning needing overtime for their 3-2 win. Both of these teams are playing really well right now. The Kings are coming off two wins in a row where they put up six goals in each of them and have a 7-3-1 record in their last eleven games. The Lightning are on fire right now, on a five game win streak, with dominant wins (including four against playoff games) in all of those. I'd slightly lean the Bolts win this one again in LA tonight, but not enough to bet it. I do like the over though, which I'll take at 6 for half a unit.
Sharks vs. Blackhawks (10:30)
Horrendous matchup here between the two worst teams in the NHL to close out tonight's slate. Both of these teams blow, on both ends of the ice. Coming off a 4-1 loss to the Lightning (nice win for me) on Thursday night, the Sharks are on a six game losing streak with just one win in their last 16 games. The Blackhawks have only been marginally better, with just five wins in their last 24 games, but are coming off getting shut out 4-0 in Anaheim on Thursday. Chicago won both previous games between these teams at home this season, winning 2-1 in a shootout in January and 5-2 last Sunday. I think this one's a complete coin flip. No shot I'm betting it, nor do I care who wins in this lottery game. I'd lean the over, but not enough to bet on it, especially juiced up. I'll stay off this shit game entirely.
